Can i apply nupur mehndi on hair during pregnancy?
I usually apply Nupur mehndi to my hair every few months for conditioning and color. Is it safe to continue using Nupur mehndi on my hair during pregnancy?
From what I know, pure henna is generally safe, but commercial ones have additives to give dark color. Those chemical compounds can get absorbed through the scalp. Just read the ingredients list carefully or ask your gynac if you are prone to allergies.
I used pure organic mehndi throughout my pregnancy to cover my grey hair and had no issues! Just sit in a warm room and wash it off quickly so you don't catch a chill. Keep it simple and stress-free.
Mere ghar pe toh mummy aur saas ne bilkul mana kar diya tha starting me, bolte hain thandi hoti hai toh sardi ho jayegi. After 5th month, I applied simple home-ground mehndi once, but only for an hour.
I applied henna during my second trimester, but I made sure it was 100% natural without any chemicals. Just don't keep it on for too long because getting a cold or fever during pregnancy is very exhausting.
Actually yaar, I avoided it in my first trimester because of the strong smell which made me nauseous. If you really want to apply, make sure there are no chemical dyes in it. Better to do a patch test first.
Look, natural henna is fine but commercial brands like Nupur sometimes have added chemicals or herbs that might cause cold or allergies. Better to use pure organic mehndi powder from a local shop. Don't take unnecessary risks during these nine months.
