We had our first baby through ivf after a long struggle. Now thinking about a second one and someone told me sometimes it happens naturally after. Did this happen to anyone here? Curious to know.
Yes it can happen, and honestly it surprised me too. My first was IVF and my second came naturally. Every body and reason for IVF is different though, so please dont take my story as a rule. Do talk to your fertility doctor about your specific case.
It is possible for some women, I have heard of it many times. But it really depends on why IVF was needed in the first place. The honest answer comes only from your own doctor who knows your reports. Please dont rely on general stories alone.
With my PCOS I always thought natural would never happen, but bodies can change. I wouldnt want to give you false hope or false worry though. Your doctor knows your exact situation, please go by their guidance more than anyones experience.
Some couples do conceive naturally after, especially if the issue was unexplained or improved over time. But dont assume and skip protection or planning. Sit with your gynac, look at your reports and they will tell you the realistic chance.
I totally understand why you are asking, that little hope means so much after the IVF journey. Yes for some it does happen naturally. Whatever your path, I am sending you so much love and strength. Just keep your doctor in the loop.
