We are trying for a baby and im a little confused about the timing. My cycle just ended and i keep reading different things online. Is it even possible to conceive so soon after periods?
I used an ovulation app and once I saw my actual fertile days it all made sense. Right after period was usually low chance for me. The apps are just guesses though, ovulation strips were more accurate for me.
It's less likely right after periods but not impossible, especially if your cycle is short, because sperm can survive a few days. The fertile window is more around ovulation, roughly mid cycle. If you're trying, focus there.
I was confused about this too when we started trying. From what I learnt, chances are low just after period but it can still happen in short cycles. I started tracking ovulation, made it much clearer for me.
Honestly with irregular cycles like mine, the whole 'safe days' idea is unreliable, my ovulation was all over the place. So I wouldn't trust the calendar method fully. A doctor can guide you better on your timing.
