My granny gave me some desi nuskha with fitkari for a throat thing. Im 4 months pregnant and didnt take it yet because i wasnt sure if its safe ab. Anyone has idea?
Beta, fitkari is only meant for external use, like washing small cuts or clearing water. Never swallow or consume it during pregnancy as it can be very warm and harmful for the baby. For any throat pain, just do gargles with warm water and a pinch of turmeric.
Actually, please stay away from consuming alum, yaar. It can be super toxic for you and the baby, and it's totally not worth the risk. If you are having any throat issues or ulcers, just ask your doc for a safe gel or spray.
No way, please don't eat fitkari! Alum is meant for purifying water or soothing shaving cuts, not for your tummy, especially when you are pregnant. If you want something soothing, go for a nice cup of ginger-lemon tea instead!
Double trouble if you consume that! Fitkari can cause severe stomach upset and is definitely not safe for the babies inside. If you need help with mouth ulcers or acidity, ask your gynac for safe pregnancy-friendly options.
Consuming alum (potassium alum) is highly unsafe during pregnancy due to the risk of heavy metal toxicity and stomach irritation. Please do not ingest it under any circumstances, and if someone recommended it to you, always consult your gynecologist before trying such things.
Please do not consume alum or fitkari at all. I know some old home remedies suggest it for mouth ulcers or throat cleaning, but ingesting it is very risky during pregnancy. Just stick to warm salt water gargles instead, which is much safer and worked so well for me after delivery.
