i used to do core and abs regularly before getting pregnant and i really miss my routine. just found out im 6 weeks. is it okay to continue or should i stop the abs part completely? pls share what u did.
Regular abs and crunches are a no during pregnancy, the core is under too much strain. I stuck to walking and prenatal stretches that the doctor okayed. If you were fit before, still confirm with your gynac what's safe now.
I love workouts but my trainer and doctor both said no traditional crunches or hard abs work in pregnancy, especially after first trimester. I switched to safe prenatal exercises, walking and gentle yoga that my gynac approved. Please get cleared by your doctor before any ab routine.
I traded my old core routine for short walks and a few doctor approved prenatal moves I could fit in between work. Real abs work isnt safe now. Keep it gentle and always run new exercises by your gynac.
I'd be cautious here, please dont do intense abs workouts without your doctor's go ahead. Mine asked me to avoid anything straining the core. Safe gentle movement yes, but get it cleared for your specific case.
