I have a small cavity that has started paining and my dentist suggested a filling. But im in my second trimester now and not sure if its safe to get it done while pregnant. Did anyone here get dental work done? a bit confused.
I got a dental issue sorted during my second pregnancy, the dentist coordinated with my gynac. Don't ignore tooth pain, it can get worse. Just inform both doctors and it is usually fine.
Best to let your gynac and dentist both know before you go ahead. They will pick the safest time and approach. Please don't just walk in without mentioning the pregnancy.
Dental fillings are generally considered safe in pregnancy, the second trimester is usually preferred. Just tell your dentist you are pregnant so they take proper care. A friend got hers done with no issue.
