I get very tired these days and was thinking of having Boost in milk like i used to. But then thought let me check first, is it fine during pregnancy? Im around 14 weeks.
I think having it in small amounts should be fine. I am currently trying to conceive and have started drinking simple milk with a little badam powder instead, just to be on the safer side. If you really crave it, maybe you can ask your doctor once.
I would highly suggest checking with your doctor before adding any supplement drinks like Boost. I had some health complications during my pregnancy, and my doctor asked me to avoid all packaged malt or chocolate drinks because of their hidden sugars. It is always better to be cautious and ask your gynac first.
After my C-section, I was very careful with my diet to make sure my body healed well. Boost is generally fine to drink during pregnancy as a taste enhancer for milk, but try to focus more on fresh, nutrient-rich foods that will help your strength.
You can have Boost in moderation as a milk additive, but do keep an eye on the sugar content since we want to avoid unnecessary calories. For me, my fitness routine during pregnancy has been limited to light walking because my doctor allowed only that. If your doctor is okay with your health and sugar levels, a little Boost in warm milk is perfectly fine.
I love having Boost with milk, actually! I'm currently 5 months pregnant and still drink it sometimes when I crave chocolate milk. Did your gynac suggest any other protein powder, or are you just drinking Boost for taste?
Actually, a little bit of Boost in milk is completely fine to have, yaar. Just don't overdo it because it has a lot of sugar and not much real nutrition compared to actual protein powders. Keep it to maybe once a day.
