We just started trying and im a big coffee person, like 2-3 cups a day. Read somewhere it can affect conception and now im second guessing. Did any of you cut it down completely?
With my PCOS, I had to be very careful with inflammation, so my doctor suggested keeping coffee to a minimum. I switched to decaf or light green tea. Try to limit it to one cup and see how your body feels.
Most doctors recommend limiting caffeine to under 200mg a day when trying to conceive, which is about one standard cup. So you don't need to quit completely, just cut back if you drink multiple cups.
I was a complete coffee addict when we were trying, but I limited myself to just one cup in the morning. Now my toddler keeps me awake anyway, so enjoy your limited caffeine while you can!
Since we had a long and difficult journey to conceive, my doctor advised me to cut down caffeine completely to be safe. It's always best to ask your fertility specialist about what limits are safe for your specific body.
I actually cut down to half a cup daily when we started trying, and now I am finally pregnant! Did your doctor suggest a specific limit, or are you trying to quit completely? It is so hard to let go of coffee!
I had to limit my coffee to one small cup, and honestly, it is the only thing keeping me sane right now in this 3rd trimester! You can have a little, just keep an eye on the daily limit.
Yaar, don't stress too much about cutting it out completely! You can absolutely have one small cup of coffee a day. Just don't overdo it with multiple mugs, okay?
