Its so hot these days and i feel weak and drained by afternoon, was thinking glucon d might give some energy. But not sure if all that sugar is fine in pregnancy. Do any of you drink it?
Small amounts occasionally are generally fine for energy, but it's high in sugar so moderation matters, especially watching weight and sugar levels in pregnancy. If you're unsure or have any sugar concerns, a quick word with your doctor settles it.
On really hot tiring days I'd have it sometimes for a quick energy lift, no harm now and then. But honestly nimbu paani with a pinch of salt did the same job and was lighter. Dont rely on it daily.
Occasionally when you feel weak in summer it's okay, it's basically glucose. But dont make it a daily drink, that's a lot of extra sugar. I preferred plain water, lemon water or coconut water mostly.
Just be a bit careful, it's pure sugar basically. With my GD I was told to avoid it completely. For a normal pregnancy an odd glass in heat is fine, but if your sugar is being checked, please ask your doctor first.
