Someone at home suggested palak juice for iron during pregnancy. Im in second trimester and thinking of starting it, but want to check if its safe daily. Thoughts?
Haaan, I asked my gynac about spinach too! She said it's fine, good for iron, but don't overdo it with anything. I usually have it in sabzi or dal, never tried juice only. Is juice really good for u? I get worried about too much of one thing.
Spinach is healthy for sure, but with juices, always check for added sugar ya. And if you have any conditions like gestational diabetes, it's always best to ask your gynac first. Just to be on the safe side, you know.
Oh yes, I used to have spinach quite often during my pregnancy, mostly as sabzi or in soup. My little one is a toddler now, super healthy! As long as it's fresh and clean, and you're not having like, litres of it everyday, I think it should be okay. A balanced diet is key!
Spinach is actually very good for you in pregnancy, full of iron and folic acid! Juice form is fine too, just make sure it's made fresh at home and the spinach is super clean. Dont add sugar. Always discuss new additions to your diet with your doctor if you're unsure.
Mere ghar pe meri mummy ne toh spinach khilaya tha, but juice ka mujhe idea nahin. Woh log kehte the hara sabzi is good. Par honestly, har cheez ke liye ek baar apne doc se pooch lena best rehta hai. Maa log ka toh dhyan rakhti hi hai, par medical advice bhi zaroori hai.
Main toh pregnancy mein thyroid patient thi, toh mujhe bahut carefully khana padta tha. Spinach mein oxalates hote hain, toh agar koi specific medical condition hai, then please discuss with your gynac. Healthy hai but always better to confirm with your doc ya.
