Im 14 weeks and my office is just 15 min away on my Activa. MIL keeps saying ride mat karo but autos are so costly daily na. Anyone here who drove scooty in early months, was it okay?
My doctor only allowed me light walks and prenatal yoga, woh bhi after checking everything. For scooty, it's about jerks and balancing, which can be risky. I'd definitely ask your gynac first if it's safe for your specific pregnancy, everyone's body is different.
Honestly, I freaked out a bit initially when my MIL told me not to even sit on a scooty. But my gynac said short distances are fine if the roads are good and you are feeling okay. Just avoid sudden bumps or long rides. I drove till 7th month, no issues.
Lol, scooty? Yaar, by 3rd trimester, I can barely get off the couch gracefully! Honestly, my doc said no two-wheelers due to balance issues and accidental jerks. Imagine falling now, that would be a whole new level of drama. My back pain couldn't handle it!
My gynac specifically told me no scooty or bike riding, especially in the first and third trimesters. She said the jerks can put pressure on the uterus and in later stages, balance becomes an issue which increases fall risk. So I opted for car or auto.
It really depends on your individual pregnancy, how far along you are, and the road conditions where you drive. Some doctors might say short distances are okay if you're very careful, others might advise against it completely due to the risk of falls or sudden jerks. Best to get a clear go-ahead from your gynac.
Umm, I'm actually not pregnant yet, but I think I've heard from elders that it's better to avoid bumpy rides or anything that can cause a jolt? It's probably safest to ask your doctor directly to be sure, na?
Please be very, very careful. After my previous miscarriage, my doctor told me to avoid any kind of jerking movement or physical strain. So I completely stopped even sitting on a bike. Pls check with your doc before you do anything, your safety is most important.
