My hb was a little low last time so im trying to add more iron stuff. Was thinking of beetroot in salad and juice. Is it good to have during pregnancy? im in my second tri.
Beetroot is very nice for hemoglobin, my mother kept giving me beetroot and carrot together. It helped my reports stay good. Wash properly and have in moderation, simple home food is the best.
Yes beetroot is good, helps with iron and blood levels which matter in pregnancy. I had it in salad and juice both. Just wash it well and dont go overboard. Anything in balance is fine.
Beetroot is healthy, just one small thing, it does have natural sugar so if you watch sugar levels like I did, keep the juice limited. The cooked or salad form is gentler. Otherwise totally fine to eat.
I add beetroot to my morning juice along with my light walk routine, my doc was okay with it. Good for iron and energy. Just keep portions sensible, dont overdo the juice part. Whole beetroot is even better.
