Mummy keeps making lauki sabzi saying its very light and good for me, but i honestly dont enjoy it much. Still, if its actually good in pregnancy i'll try to have it. Is it recommended? im 18 weeks.
Lauki is cheap, easily available and so good for you during pregnancy. I made simple sabzi and soup with it. Healthy and light on the wallet, win win honestly.
Beta lauki is very good and cooling for the body, we always recommend it. Make it as sabzi or kheer. Just be careful, taste a tiny bit first, if its bitter discard it, bitter lauki is harmful.
We made bottle gourd curry regularly and it sat well on my stomach during pregnancy. My mom said it is light and good for digestion. Cooked is best, I avoided raw juice.
Yes lauki is great during pregnancy, light, hydrating and easy to digest. I had it as sabzi and soup often. Just one thing, if it tastes bitter throw it out, never eat bitter bottle gourd or its juice.
