I'm in my first trimester and craving baingan bharta! My mother-in-law said not to eat brinjal during pregnancy. Is it really unsafe in early pregnancy?
Humare yahan toh kehte hain ki shuruat ke mahino mein baingan thoda kam hi khana chahiye kyunki yeh garm hota hai. Par agar mann kar raha hai toh thoda sa ache se paka kar khao, koi dikkat nahi hogi. Khush raho aur dhyan rakho apna.
God has blessed us with so many nutritious vegetables, and brinjal is fine if eaten in moderation. Just pray, stay positive, wash your food nicely, and eat with a happy mind. God will keep you and the baby safe.
Beta, in early pregnancy, it is better to eat baingan in small quantities only. Our elders say it is slightly hot in nature and can cause gas or indigestion. If you feel any bloating after eating it, try drinking a little warm cumin (jeera) water, it helps soothe the stomach.
Baingan is fine in moderation, but sometimes it causes heavy bloating which makes it hard to stay active. I only do my daily light walking and mild yoga when my digestion is totally clear and my doctor has approved of it. If it suits you, have it well-cooked.
Mere ghar pe meri saas ne shuru ke teen mahine baingan khane se bilkul mana kiya tha, unhe lagta hai isse garmi hoti hai body mein. Though actually medical terms mein moderate khana safe hai, par family ki peace ke liye maine thoda door hi parhez रखा. If you really want, have a little portion but make sure it's fully cooked.
You can eat it, but eat in limit to avoid any digestive issues or allergies. With baby on the way, medical bills and test costs are already rising, so we can't afford unnecessary hospital visits for basic stomach infections. Eat fresh, cheap local seasonal veggies instead which are safer.
Suno, you can definitely have brinjal but don't eat it too often in the first trimester. Some people get allergies or severe gas from it. Just wash it thoroughly before cooking and eat fresh home-cooked bharta or sabzi.
