my mom made sambar with lots of drumstick today and then i suddenly got confused if its ok in pregnancy. im in my 3rd month. is it safe to have or should i avoid yaar?
We make drumstick sambar and rasam at home all the time, its rich in calcium and iron. In normal cooked amount its absolutely fine. My doctor had no issue with it, just dont eat it raw or in huge quantity.
Yes cooked drumstick in your regular meals is fine and quite healthy. I ate it in sambar through both pregnancies. Just balance it with other veggies, nothing in excess.
Beta drumstick is good in cooked form, we always added it in dal and curry. It is nutritious. Just have it in normal food amount, nothing extra, and ask doctor if you are unsure.
