Can i eat dry figs everyday during early pregnancy?
Someone told me dry figs are full of iron so I started having 2 daily. But now im wondering if everyday is too much in early pregnancy. Im around 7 weeks. Anyone doing the same?
When I was staying at my mom's place during my first trimester, she used to give me 2 soaked dry figs every morning. They are very warm for the body, so soaking them overnight in water makes them safe and easy to digest.
Yes, you can definitely eat them, but limit it to 2 pieces a day. Dry figs are very rich in fiber and iron, which is great, but overeating them can cause stomach upset. Just soak them in water first, it's much safer.
When I was newly pregnant, I felt so anxious about everything I ate. I started eating soaked figs everyday and they really helped me feel energetic and less bloated. It's a wonderful and gentle way to take care of yourself.
I am in my first trimester too and I've been eating 2 soaked figs daily to help with digestion! Does anyone else feel like they get super constipated early on? Let me know if you do!
Ammulu, my mother always says dry figs are good for blood. But in early pregnancy, it is better to take advice from your doctor about your daily diet. Usually, 1 or 2 soaked figs a day is perfectly fine.
Oh, I totally remember trying to find the perfect healthy snacks during early pregnancy. Dry figs are so good for you, sweetie. Just eat them in moderation, like 2 daily, and enjoy this beautiful phase!
Figs are good, but since it is early pregnancy and I had some bleeding complications, my doctor told me to be very careful with hot foods. Please ask your gynecologist how much is safe for your body before eating them daily.
