Can i eat ellu mittai during 6th month of pregnancy?
Im in my 6th month and craving ellu mittai so badly, my mom made some at home. But ive heard some people say til is not good in pregnancy so now im confused. Anyone had it during these months?
I ate til sweets in my later months no problem. Sesame is actually good for calcium. Keep it to a small portion since it's loaded with sugar and ghee, and you're good.
Beta, til is actually warming so elders used to limit it. By the 6th month a piece or two of ellu mittai is alright in most cases. If you have any history of complications, just ask your doctor once before.
Ellu mittai (sesame sweet) in normal small amounts is fine da. My family always said avoid too much til in early months, but by 6th month a little is okay. Just dont eat a big batch in one go, moderation.
It's mostly jaggery and sesame so it is sweet, watch the quantity. I had sugar issues so I had to limit all such sweets. If your sugar is normal, one small piece occasionally is fine in 6th month.
