Im in my 2nd trimester and craving kanda dumpa so badly, my mom makes it really nice. But MIL said avoid root veggies na so now im confused. Is it safe to have it or should i skip? pls tell.
Its cheap and filling, perfect honestly. I used to have it instead of buying expensive snacks. Just dont deep fry it too much, boiled or roasted is better for u.
Sweet potato is fine generally but just one thing, it does have natural sugars so if u have any sugar issue during pregnancy keep the portion small. I had GD so I had to watch starchy stuff. Otherwise its actually a healthy choice.
Kanda dumpa means sweet potato na, we eat it a lot at home. It is good actually, lot of fibre and helps with that pregnancy constipation also. Just have it cooked well and in normal amount, my mom always made it boiled for me.
