I mean green leafy sabzi like palak, methi and drumstick leaves. Some elders say wash properly and eat, others say avoid in first trimester. What all leaves did you eat during pregnancy?
Green leafy veggies are great in pregnancy, full of folate and iron. The only rule is wash thoroughly and prefer cooked over raw to be safe from infection. I ate palak and methi all the time.
Beta if you mean leafy greens like palak, methi, coriander then yes, very good for iron and folate. Just wash them really well to remove all dirt. Cook them properly, raw leaves I'd avoid in pregnancy.
Leafy greens are cheap and so good for you in pregnancy, honestly a budget friendly way to keep iron up. Just soak and wash them properly. Saves on extra supplements if you eat them regularly along with what doc gives.
We eat keerai often at home and it's lovely during pregnancy, good for blood. My amma always cooked it well and washed it twice. Stick to cooked greens and you'll be fine.
