Litchi season is here and i cant resist them, ate quite a few yesterday. Later my mom said maybe avoid too many fruits like this in pregnancy. Now im wondering if litchi is actually fine?
Yes litchi is fine and sooo refreshing in summer pregnancy. I had a few daily and loved them. Just dont overdo it, a handful is plenty since they are sweet.
Litchi is high in sugar so i was careful with it because of my gestational diabetes. A couple at a time was okay for me. If your sugar levels are normal just keep the quantity sensible.
Litchi in moderation is perfectly okay, my family had no issue with it. Just eat fresh and washed ones. As with any sweet fruit, dont eat a whole basket in one go na.
