Can i eat maggi during first trimester of pregnancy?
Im 7 weeks and honestly maggi is the only thing i feel like eating these days, everything else makes me nauseous. But my MIL keeps saying it's all maida and not good now. Is it really ok to have it sometimes or should i avoid completely?
Oh the maggi craving was so real for me in first trimester. I ate it once in a while as a treat and added some veggies and egg to make it slightly better. Honestly during nausea sometimes it's the only thing that stayed down.
My MIL would frown every time I made maggi, kept pushing ghar ka khana. I did eat home food mostly but kept maggi for the days I just couldn't cook. Balance it na, a little is okay.
When my morning sickness was at its worst, plain things like maggi were sometimes all I could eat without throwing up. I felt guilty but the doctor said eat whatever stays down right now, we'll fix the diet once nausea settles. So go easy on yourself.
Once in a while is okay, it's just maida and low on nutrition so it shouldn't be regular. My doctor said no food is fully banned in moderation unless I have a specific condition. Best to confirm with your own doc if unsure.
I tried to mostly stick to homemade fresh food in first trimester since it's such an important time. But honestly an occasional maggi won't harm. Just keep your water and fruits up, and ask the doctor if you have any acidity or sodium concerns.
Haha the real pregnancy struggle, craving maggi at midnight. I had it occasionally and my baby is perfectly fine. Just don't make it your three meals a day yaar, your gynac will give you that look.
