Can i eat mithai stored in a refrigerator during pregnancy?
We have some delicious mithai in the fridge from a recent celebration. I'm pregnant and craving something sweet, but I'm not sure if it's safe to eat refrigerated mithai. Is it okay to have it during pregnancy?
I would say please avoid stored mawa or milk mithai completely. After my loss, I became extremely cautious about food safety because even minor food poisoning can be risky. Just have freshly bought or freshly made sweets to be absolutely safe.
Beta, fresh food is always best during these times. If the mithai has milk or mawa, please avoid keeping it for days in the fridge because bacteria grows easily. If u want something sweet, better to have fresh homemade kheer or jaggery.
I understand how strong these sweet cravings can be, especially with all the stress. But please be a bit careful with stored milk sweets, as they can cause stomach infections which we want to avoid. Maybe try freshly made hot halwa instead?
If it's just 1-2 days old and stored properly in a clean container, it's fine to have a small piece. But don't eat weeks-old mithai, especially anything made of milk. Heat it up slightly if possible, or just skip it and get fresh.
Accha, sweet cravings are so normal during pregnancy, ho na? But stored milk sweets in fridge can catch bacteria quickly. Better to avoid mawa sweets and eat fresh homemade sheera or dry fruits.
During my pregnancy, my sweet tooth was crazy, but my doc said no to cold, stored dairy sweets. Stored food can sometimes upset your stomach, and recovering from any infection takes a toll on the body. Try freshly made hot jalebi instead!
My doctor actually warned me about Listeria risk in stored dairy products during pregnancy. If it's kaju katli or dry fruit mithai, it might be safer, but avoid refrigerated milk-based sweets. Always eat freshly prepared food to stay on the safe side.
