Can i eat mushroom during my 13th week of pregnancy?
Just started my 13th week and was about to make mushroom sabzi when MIL said avoid it. Now im not sure if its actually unsafe or just a typical ghar wali advice. Anyone ate mushrooms in pregnancy?
Yesss, you can totally enjoy mushrooms! 🍄 Just wash them super well to get rid of any dirt and cook them nicely. Mushroom tandoori was my absolute go-to snack! 😋
Yes, mushrooms are a great source of Vitamin D and totally fine in the 13th week. I ate mushroom soup and kadai mushroom quite often during my pregnancy. Just make sure they are fresh and well-cleaned.
When I was in my 13th week, I felt so confused about what to eat and what to avoid. I ended up eating a mushroom dish at a family dinner and felt so guilty afterwards, but my doctor reassured me it was completely fine. Just ensure they are cooked properly at home.
Mushrooms are a healthy and cheap source of protein, which is great because baby expenses are going to add up soon. Just buy them fresh from a good store so you don't get any stomach infection and end up spending on extra doctor visits and medicines.
I know how scary every single bite of food can feel, especially after crossing the first trimester. Mushrooms are generally safe, but I was so paranoid that I only ate them after washing them three times and cooking them thoroughly. If you feel any doubt, just skip it for peace of mind.
