Im 9 weeks and craving oranges like crazy lately, eat 2-3 a day easily. But MIL keeps saying citrus se thanda ho jata hai and its not good now. Is it actually fine ya should i cut down? Bit confused yaar.
Oh haan bilkul, oranges are so good for you and baby. Full of Vitamin C! I actually checked with my gynac about fruits early on, and she said as long as it's fresh and in moderation, it's totally fine. I try to have one daily after my morning walk.
Haan beta, bilkul kha sakte ho. Jab main ghar pe thi mummy-papa ke saath pregnancy mein, mummy toh roz ek orange deti thi. Bolti thi achha hota hai baby ke liye aur fresh rehte ho tum bhi. Bas make sure fresh ho and ghar pe kaata hua ho, bahar ka avoid karna.
See, generally oranges are considered safe na, but if you have any acidity issues or maybe gestational diabetes, it's always better to ask your doctor. Mere saath toh thoda complications ho gaya tha pehle, so now I just double-check everything with my gynac before eating anything new. Be safe.
Of course you can, haan! Oranges are easily available and pretty affordable too, especially in season. Good source of vit C and fibre. Just get fresh ones, wash them properly at home and eat. Don't worry too much about normal fruits, as long as you're not eating like five a day!
Yes, definitely! My doctor told me oranges are super beneficial during pregnancy because of Vitamin C for immunity and folate which is important for baby's neural tube development. Just make sure to wash them properly. She also mentioned the fiber helps with constipation, which is common during pregnancy.
After my C-section, I remember craving fresh fruits so much, and oranges were such a relief. They're hydrating and give you a nice energy boost. For me, during pregnancy also, they felt really refreshing, just make sure you dont overdo it if you have heartburn issues.
