Office days I really crave some chaat or roll outside, but everyone scares me about infection n all. 4 months going on. Is it really that bad or thoda once in a while is ok?
Honestly, I would say try to avoid it as much as possible! I was so paranoid about food poisoning and infections because you can't take strong medicines during pregnancy. If you really crave something, try making a cleaner version at home, or only eat from highly hygienic places.
Hi! You can definitely treat yourself occasionally, just make sure the food is piping hot and from a clean place. During my pregnancy, I had my share of cravings but completely avoided street food and tap water. It kept my digestion smooth, which really helped me stay active till my normal delivery.
I am in my second trimester now and literally dying to eat panipuri, but I am so scared of catching an infection. Did you guys eat street food during your pregnancy or stick only to home food? Honestly, my gynac said cooked outside food from good places is okay, but raw stuff is a big no.
I actually ate outside food once in a while during my pregnancy, especially when my morning sickness made home food taste weird. I just made sure it was properly cooked, like hot dosas or baked items, and completely avoided raw salads and local street juices. It worked fine for me without any issues.
Try to focus on fresh, pure ghar ka khana as much as possible because it keeps both mind and body calm. But if you have a strong craving, eat a little bit from a clean place with a happy mind. Just stay positive, pray, and take care of your health!
I completely understand the intense cravings, and it's so hard to resist outside food when you are already feeling anxious and tired. In my pregnancy, I did eat out occasionally, but only at highly trusted, clean restaurants. Just avoid street food or raw salads to stay safe from stomach bugs.
