I love papaya but everyone at ghar keeps saying dont eat it during pregnancy, it's not safe. Im in my first trimester. Is it really a no or just an old wives tale? thoda confused honestly.
I am so scared of this too! My mother-in-law strictly said no to papaya, and it makes me so anxious even seeing it in the kitchen. Does anyone else get super confused about which fruits are actually safe?
I completely understand how tricky all these food rules can feel when you are carrying your precious little one. To be safe, just keep papaya away from your diet for these few months. Your peace of mind is worth much more than a craving, sweetie.
I am currently planning my pregnancy and keeping a list of what to avoid. I heard raw papaya is strictly dangerous but fully ripe is fine, is that true? I think I will just stay away from it altogether to avoid any risks!
While recovering from my C-section, I realized how cautious we have to be during those nine months. Fully ripe papaya in very small quantities is generally said to be okay, but raw or semi-ripe papaya is a big NO because of latex. Honestly, it's safer to just avoid it completely to be stress-free.
When I was pregnant, I avoided papaya entirely just to be safe. Raw papaya has latex which can cause uterine contractions, so it’s not worth the risk. You can eat apples or pomegranates instead, they are much safer and great for the baby.
