Ghar pe almost daily breakfast me paratha banta hai and now im 2nd trimester. My MIL keeps making aloo ones with extra ghee, thoda heavy lagta hai. Is it ok to eat or should i cut down? Anyone else eating parathas regularly?
I am 5 months pregnant now and literally had paneer paratha for breakfast today! Is it okay to put butter on it though? My mom says butter is good but I get scared of putting on too much weight.
Ghar ka paratha is the best and totally safe, dear. When I was at my mummy's place, she used to make hot gobi and methi parathas with very little ghee for me. Just avoid outside street food and enjoy mummy ke haath ka healthy food.
Uff, in my first trimester, the smell of tadka made me throw up, but plain aloo paratha with curd was the only thing I could digest. Just make sure it is not too oily, else heartburn will trouble u a lot. Eat slowly, it really helps.
Actually my MIL was a bit worried when I asked for stuffed parathas instead of our usual idli or dosa. But when I asked my gynac, she said everything is fine in moderation, just don't overeat. So I used to have it once in a while without any guilt.
I think home-cooked parathas with less oil should be completely fine and healthy. I am actually planning for a baby and learning to make different healthy stuffings like spinach and paneer. Hope it helps u!
