I was about to eat some pineapple and my mom literally snatched it saying its not good in pregnancy. Now im second guessing. Is there any truth to this or just one of those old beliefs? im 9 weeks.
My family also had this avoid pineapple belief, but my doctor said a little is okay. I ate small amounts and was fine. Listen to your doctor over the old sayings na.
I actually asked my gynac this. She said normal food quantities are fine and the worry is overblown, its only huge amounts people theorize about. So a regular serving, no issue she said.
In our homes elders often say avoid pineapple beta, purani soch hai. A little bit is generally okay but if you are worried just ask your doctor and eat in moderation.
A normal amount of pineapple is fine, I ate it in both my pregnancies. People scare you saying it causes problems but a few pieces wont harm. Just dont eat a whole one in one go, like any fruit.
I was craving pineapple so bad haha. Had small portions and was totally fine. Moderation is the key with all these tangy fruits, dont overdo it and enjoy yaar.
