I'm craving pineapple so bad yaar but my saas got tension the moment she saw it, said it's not safe. Im in my 6th month now, is it actually ok to eat thoda or should I avoid? anyone ate it?
With all the scanning and delivery expenses coming up, I preferred eating normal local seasonal fruits like bananas. No point buying expensive pineapples and then worrying about stomach upset and hospital visits.
Pineapple is known to be warm, so ghar pe sab mana karte hain. Better to have sweet lime or pomegranate which are easily available and very safe for the baby.
I honestly stayed away from pineapple because of what elders said, though some friends ate it in small portions. It's totally your call, but I felt safer avoiding it.
Honestly during office hours I just wanted quick fruits, but stayed off pineapple because it's too much work to peel and there's always that slight doubt. Stick to simple bananas if you are busy.
A slice or two of ripe pineapple won't hurt in the 2nd trimester, but don't go eating a whole bowl. If you are worried, just skip it and eat apples or oranges instead, why take stress.
Listen, there is no need to eat things that make you anxious. Skip pineapple for a few months, you can eat it later. Plenty of other healthy fruits are there to enjoy right now.
