Read somewhere that pineapple can cause issues in pregnancy and got a little scared because i had a few pieces last week. im in my first trimester. how much is actually okay? thoda confused now.
From what I read on NHS, pineapple is actually considered safe in pregnancy, the whole 'it causes miscarriage' thing is a myth at normal eating amounts. Still, if you have any specific risk, just confirm with your doctor.
Yes you can eat it in normal quantity, the scary stories are exaggerated. I ate pineapple in both pregnancies. Just dont binge huge amounts like it'll induce labour, that's not how it works.
My pregnancy app and NHS page both said pineapple is safe in reasonable portions, the bromelain scare is overblown for the amount you actually eat. I logged it many times, no issues. Enjoy a bowl.
I had this exact doubt and got so scared! Then I read it's fine in moderation. I still keep it small just for peace of mind. Anyone ate lots of it without issue?
