I get this random craving for polo mints these days, especially after meals. Suddenly got worried if the mint or whatever is in it is okay during pregnancy. Is it fine to have a few or should i avoid? im 16 weeks.
Polo mints? Haan one or two is totally fine, its just a sugar candy. Dont stress over a mint yaar. Just dont go finishing whole packets daily, thats the only thing.
A mint here and there is okay, nothing harmful in it. I used to pop one when I had that weird metallic taste in mouth. Just keep sugar intake in check overall, thats all.
Just a small caution from my side, I had gestational diabetes so I had to watch all sugary candies including mints. If your sugar reports are normal then occasional polo is fine, but keep an eye on total sugar.
When my nausea was bad a mint actually helped settle the queasy feeling. So polo occasionally is fine. If its more for nausea, ginger or lemon also work nicely without the sugar.
