I get these sudden cravings for raw paneer with a bit of salt and chilli, used to eat it like that all the time before. Now im 4 months and not sure if raw is safe or i should always cook it first. anyone else?
I ate paneer all through, mostly homemade or branded. I just avoided random open paneer from outside since freshness is the issue. Fresh and from a good source, you're fine eating it raw or cooked.
My gynac said the main concern is whether the paneer is made from pasteurised milk and is fresh. If it's from a trusted brand or boiled milk at home, raw paneer is generally fine. Avoid unknown loose paneer that could be stale. When in doubt, lightly cook it.
