We are a south indian family so rice is basically every meal for us. Someone told me to cut down rice in pregnancy and now im confused. Is it actually bad or can I keep eating like normal?
Bilkul! Rice is totally fine to eat during pregnancy. It provides energy and is easy to digest for many. Just ensure your overall diet is balanced with lots of veggies and protein too. Don't worry about cutting out staples unless your doctor specifically advises it.
Yes, you can eat rice. For me, because of my PCOS history, my doctor advised moderation with all carbs, including rice. So maybe don't have huge portions every meal, but it's not something to avoid completely. Just balance your diet, okay?
From my personal experience, I ate rice regularly during my pregnancy, especially steamed rice with dal or veggies. My doctor never mentioned any issues with it. It was part of my normal diet, so I continued having it.
Yaar, of course you can eat rice! It's a staple for most of us, right? Just don't overdo it, like anything else. Actually, it gives good energy. Maybe try to mix it up with other grains too, but totally fine to have rice regularly.
Oh, absolutely you can! I ate rice pretty much every day throughout my pregnancy. It's a perfectly normal and safe part of an Indian diet. Just ensure it's fresh and not left out for too long. My toddler loves rice now, too!
Haan ji, you can definitely eat rice during pregnancy. It's a common and safe food. Just make sure it's well-cooked and maybe try to include brown rice sometimes for extra fiber. I ate it throughout my pregnancy and while breastfeeding too, it's perfectly fine.
