My mother keeps telling me to have sattu for energy and protein. We make it as a drink and sometimes in paratha. Im in my second trimester. Just want to confirm its ok to have regularly now. Anyone here had sattu during pregnancy?
Yes sattu is good, lots of protein and it kept me full. I had sattu drink with a little salt or jaggery. Just keep it fresh and dont overdo, moderate is the way.
We eat sattu a lot at home and it's very healthy and filling. I had it in pregnancy too. Just make the sharbat fresh and drink in normal amount, it gives good energy.
Sattu itself is great and high in protein. I just made it with a pinch of salt and skipped the jaggery or sugar because of my sugar levels. If you have any sugar concern, keep it savoury. Otherwise enjoy it.
