Was at a mall today and really wanted that soft serve cone but my SIL stopped me saying machine wala ice cream is not safe in pregnancy. Now im craving it badly haha. Is it actually a problem or was she just being overcautious?
Girl I craved this so bad haha. I had it sometimes but only from proper branded outlets, avoided the random roadside softy machines coz of hygiene. Cravings are real, just be a little choosy.
Packaged ice cream is fine in moderation. The concern with soft serve is the machine cleanliness and unpasteurised stuff, so I avoided open machine softy. Branded scoop or tub, no problem.
Pregnancy without ice cream would be a crime honestly. Just pick a hygienic place, skip the suspicious looking softy machine, and enjoy it yaar. Baby probably wants it too.
The thing with soft serve from machines is hygiene can be iffy, so I stuck to packed ones. Also I had gestational diabetes so I had to watch sugar, but if ur sugar is fine occasional treat is okay. Just from a clean place.
