I get this craving for sweet supari after meals, the mukhwas types. now im not sure if its safe in pregnancy or i should stop completely. im in my second trimester. anyone had it?
Beta, better to avoid supari during pregnancy, even the sweet kind, as supari itself is not good in this time. If your mouth feels off, chew some saunf or elaichi instead, thats what we always did. Safer and freshens the mouth too.
I'd avoid supari honestly, betel nut isnt recommended in pregnancy regardless of the sweet coating. If u crave something after meals, saunf or mishri is a safer choice. When in doubt, just check with your gynac.
My family also told me to skip supari during pregnancy. For that after meal habit I switched to plain saunf and it worked fine. Better to be careful with these little things, dear. Ask your doctor if unsure.
