Its my anniversary next week and we usually order tiramisu, its my fav dessert. But i read it has raw egg and coffee in it na. Now im confused if i should skip it this time.
The issue with tiramisu is the raw egg in the mascarpone layer plus a bit of caffeine and sometimes liqueur. Some cafes make a pregnancy safe eggless version. Best to ask whats in it, and run it by ur gynac if unsure.
Ugh tiramisu craving is so real haha. The problem is the raw egg, so the proper classic one is a no. But honestly u can find or make an eggless cooked version that scratches the itch safely.
Traditional tiramisu usually has raw egg and a little coffee/alcohol, which is why its generally not recommended. My doctor said avoid anything with raw egg during pregnancy. If its an eggless cooked version without alcohol, then check, but the classic one I'd skip.
Actually the raw egg part is the issue yaar, not the dessert itself. I just had a small eggless tiramisu from a known place once and was fine. If u dont know whats inside, better avoid.
