My period is late by a week and i keep pressing my lower tummy to see if i can feel anything different. Probably silly but i cant help it lol. Can you actually tell this early by touching?
Early on no, u wont feel a thing by touching. Later in pregnancy yes the doctor feels the baby's position by hand, thats normal in checkups. But for confirming pregnancy do a urine test and then a scan, dont rely on pressing.
I kept poking my stomach in early days hoping to feel something lol, but honestly u cant in the beginning. Drove myself mad. The test and the scan settled my mind, thats really the only sure way early.
In the first weeks nothing can be felt by hand dear, dont strain urself trying. If u think ur pregnant just take a home test and see a doctor. Palpation by the doctor comes much later in the pregnancy.
My gynac said in early weeks u cant really feel anything by pressing the tummy, the uterus is still behind the pelvic bone. Only later, around 4-5 months, the doctor can feel the top of the uterus. A test and scan are the real way to confirm early on.
