Tested positive last week so should be around 5 weeks now, but today i noticed some bleeding and im honestly panicking. It looks like period type. Im going to call my gynac first thing tomorrow but couldnt stop myself from asking here, did this happen to anyone?
My gynac explained you don't get true periods once pregnant, but spotting can happen and people mistake it. Any bleeding at 5 weeks should be checked though. She told me to call rather than assume it's just a period.
Bleeding that early isn't really a period and shouldn't be ignored. I had spotting and getting checked gave me peace of mind. Please contact your doctor if you're bleeding now.
Once you're pregnant, real periods stop, so any bleeding needs a doctor's look. Try not to panic but do call your gynac. Better to confirm everything is fine.
