This is gonna sound silly but i genuinely dont know. We were intimate during my period days and now im worried. Can pregnancy actually happen at that time? pls dont judge im just confused.
My gynac said it is less likely but not impossible to conceive around period time, especially if you have short or irregular cycles, because sperm can survive a few days. So it is not a fully safe time. If you are tracking to conceive, ovulation around mid cycle is the main window.
With my PCOS my cycles were so irregular that the whole calendar method was unreliable for me. So timing around periods didnt mean much in my case. Honestly tracking ovulation with your doctor is the better way, dont assume any time is safe or sure.
I was confused about this too when we started trying. Sounds like period time is not the main fertile window, mid cycle is. Are you tracking your cycle to figure out your ovulation days?
