Can i give levocetirizne and montelukast in pregnancy?
I have dust allergy and used to take this combination regularly before. Now im 10 weeks pregnant and not sure if i can continue. Im going to ask my gynac for sure but wanted to know if anyone was advised to keep taking these during pregnancy.
From what I've seen, doctors do allow certain allergy medicines in pregnancy but they pick which one and the timing. It really is case by case. Don't continue your old prescription blindly, get it confirmed with your gynac.
Honestly I wouldn't take any allergy medicine in pregnancy without asking the doctor first. I used to take these before but during pregnancy I checked with my gynac every single time. Please don't decide this on your own.
I always feel it's better not to assume anything about medicines, every body is different. When I had sneezing problems my doctor told me exactly what was safe for me. Please just check with yours, I won't risk guessing for you.
Allergy and asthma meds can be tricky in pregnancy, some are okay and some not, only the doctor knows. I had breathing issues and my gynac adjusted things carefully for me. Please ring your doctor before continuing these tablets.
