Can i have a false positive pregnancy test?

I took a home pregnancy test today and saw a faint second line, but I'm still feeling a bit unsure. Is it possible to get a false positive pregnancy test, and what could cause it? I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

In my experience, I got a faint line once that turned out to be an evaporation line because I checked it too late. Better to test again in a few days.

Actually yaar, false positives are super rare unless it's a chemical pregnancy or you read the test after 10 minutes. Try testing again tomorrow morning.
