I love bananas and have one almost every morning but my mom said avoid it now, something about it being cold. Im 11 weeks. Now im confused, is banana actually fine to eat or not?
Absolutely, banana is a great pregnancy snack, good for energy and potassium and helps with constipation too. I had one almost daily. Unless you have gestational diabetes and need to watch sugar, go ahead and enjoy.
We always had banana at home and I ate it through my pregnancy happily. Elders consider it nourishing. My doctor said one a day is perfectly fine, so I never worried about it.
Banana is healthy but it does have natural sugar, so with my GD I had to limit it to small portions. If your sugar is normal then no issue at all. Just be a little mindful of quantity if you have any diabetes.
