Can i have cherry in gestational diabetes pregnancy?
got diagnosed with GD last week and now im scared of every fruit. cherries are my fav but dont know if sugar level badh jayega. anyone with GD eating them safely? thoda confused with what fruits are ok.
OMG, I used to overthink everything I ate! Cherries are tricky because they're sweet. You really need to check with your gynac or the dietician they gave you. And if you do eat them, monitor your glucose levels very closely afterwards to see how your body reacts. Better safe than sorry, na?
Oh, I remember those days of worrying about every single food item! Cherries are good in moderation, actually. But since you have GD, pls just double check with your doctor how much you can have. Don't deprive yourself totally, just be mindful.
Cherries do have natural sugars, but they also have fiber. The key with gestational diabetes is portion control and how it affects *your* blood sugar. Your doctor or a dietician specialized in GD can give you a personalized plan on what fruits and how much you can have.
During my pregnancy with gestational diabetes, I was very careful with fruits. My doctor gave me a list of fruits I could have in small portions. I think cherries were on it, but I always confirmed the quantity with her. It's best to ask your own doctor.
Oh, navigating food choices with gestational diabetes can be really stressful, I completely get it. For specific fruits like cherries, it's really best to ask your diabetologist or gynac. They can tell you how much is okay based on your sugar levels, because everyone's body reacts differently.
