Was taking nutrilite omega3 since before i got pregnant and now im not sure if i should continue. Dont want to take anything without checking. Has anyone here continued it through pregnancy or did your doc ask to stop?
It is so important to keep your body nourished during this holy phase, but always do it safely. Just take a picture of the supplement and send it to your doctor to seek their blessings and approval before taking it.
I actually bought a bottle of those omega-3 capsules too and freaked out thinking whether to take them or not. But once I asked my doctor, she explained that while omega-3 is good, we should only take the specific brand or prenatal supplement they prescribe.
Honestly, with my current sleepless nights, I can barely remember to take my basic iron tablets, let alone supplements! But seriously, don't start any over-the-counter omega-3 without showing it to your gynac first, as some are not meant for pregnancy.
During my recovery after my C-section, my doctor emphasized how important proper supplements are, but they must be prescribed. I would highly advise against taking Nutrilite or any other OTC pill unless your doctor explicitly says yes.
When I was staying with my parents, my mother was very strict about what I took and always made me call the doctor before starting any new tablet. Please show the Nutrilite bottle to your gynac first to see if it’s safe for you and the baby.
I couldn't even keep water down due to severe morning sickness, so taking supplements was a huge challenge. If you want to start omega-3, definitely check with your gynac first because they might give you a mild version that doesn't upset your stomach.
