Me and my husband were wondering about this, im in my 6th month now and everything is going well so far. Bit shy to ask my doctor directly. Anyone been through this, is it okay around this time?
Mine was a case where the doctor asked us to avoid it for a few months due to my situation. So it really depends on your pregnancy. A quick word with your gynac will give you a clear yes or no for you specifically.
In a normal healthy pregnancy, yes, intimacy in the second trimester is generally fine and the baby is well cushioned. Just find comfortable positions as the bump grows. If you have any complication your doctor flagged, then check with them first.
For most uncomplicated pregnancies it is absolutely okay. The exceptions are things like placenta previa, bleeding history or risk of preterm labour, where the doctor advises against it. So if your pregnancy is smooth go ahead, otherwise confirm with your gynac.
