Im at 35 weeks now and craving the usual chai badly. MIL says cut down on tea this stage but i feel weird without my evening cup. Is one cup ok na or really not allowed now?
Oh my god, I used to worry so much about having even a sip of tea thinking it might affect the baby or cause preterm labor! But honestly, my doctor said having one small cup of mild, home-made ginger tea is perfectly fine. Just don't drink multiple cups or make it too strong, and you'll be absolutely fine!
I am in my 22nd week and I still have my morning cup of light tea everyday! From what my doctor told me, 1-2 small cups of tea are totally fine throughout pregnancy. Are there any other first-time moms who also can't do without their daily chai, or did you completely stop?
Please be very careful about what you consume, especially in the 35th week as you are so close to delivery. I had some blood pressure issues and complications, so my doctor asked me to strictly limit tea and coffee due to the caffeine. It is always safest to ask your gynecologist if it's okay for your specific health condition.
Enjoy your cup of tea, it's absolutely fine in moderation! I drank my daily cup of hot elaichi chai even in my 35th week, and had a very active, healthy normal delivery later on. Just limit it to one or two cups a day and stay well-hydrated!
Arey, having 1 small cup of light tea daily is totally fine and doesn't cause any harm. Just make it at home with less sugar and don't drink it on an empty stomach to avoid acidity. No need to spend on expensive decaf teas, normal home-made chai is a simple and perfect solution.
