Can i have time off work because of pregnancy sickness?

My morning sickness is so bad these days, i can barely sit at my desk without feeling like throwing up. Im in 8th week and wondering if i can take a few days off for this. How did u handle telling work?

Mera morning sickness itna bura tha ki main subah uth bhi nahi paati thi. Maine doctor se baat ki, unhone rest advise kiya aur leave ke liye note diya. Tum guilt feel mat karo, health pehle aati hai, leave lena bilkul justified hai.

Of course le sakti ho. India mein maternity benefit act ke under bhi kaafi rights hai. Pehle doctor se sickness ki baat karo, agar woh rest bole to written note de denge jo tum office ko dikha sakti ho.
