Im in my second trimester and i sleep on my back most of the time, feels comfortable. But my saas said straight mat let, side pe so. Now im worried, is lying straight actually a problem?
My hospital maternity team advised me to avoid lying flat on my back after the first trimester as it can compress major blood vessels. Always ask your doctor or the hospital physiotherapist for the best sleeping postures.
Haan na, starting me toh straight so sakte ho, par baad me side pe hi sona padta hai. It gets very uncomfortable on the back anyway. Use pillows for support, safe rahega.
You can lie straight in the first trimester, but later on, side sleeping is much better. I used to tuck a normal pillow between my knees and it worked wonders for my back pain!
In the early weeks, lying straight is absolutely fine [1.1.2]. But as your bump grows, sleeping on your left side is much safer for blood flow to the baby. Just take it slow and use a pregnancy pillow for comfort.
My mother always told me to sleep on my side, especially the left side, as it is good for the baby's health. In the initial months it's okay if you roll onto your back by mistake, don't worry too much.
