We are shifting house next month and theres so much packing and lifting to do. My MIL keeps telling me not to pick up anything heavy but i feel fine, im in 2nd trimester. How much is too much really? pls share what u did.
I would avoid it, especially with any history of complications. If you ever feel pain or cramps after lifting, call your gynac. Best to play safe and let others do the heavy work.
Better not to lift heavy, it strains your back and core. I took help for buckets and big bags both pregnancies. If you must pick something light, bend your knees not your waist.
In our joint family my MIL strictly told me no heavy lifting, and honestly she was right. There was always someone to help. Dont feel shy to ask family, your health comes first now.
At home I just reorganised so heavy things were within easy reach, no lifting needed. Delegated grocery carrying too. Small adjustments save you a lot of strain honestly.
